Movie rentals cheap and free

There are 3 primary ways we rent movies these days:

  • Free - If you have a library card, you can log on to the Tulsa County library system from home and create your own "Netflix" type, list. You search for movies you are interested in, reserve them and pick the library branch where you want to pick them up. They email you when they are available and hold them for several days for you to pick them up. The downside is, they don't have a comprehensive selection and you may have to wait for quite a while to recieve the movie you are interested in if it is a new release.
  • Cheap - The redbox kiosk. This is GREAT!!!! They are located in the Food Pyramid stores (what used to be Albertson's) and some McDonalds. You can see the movie selection and locations at www.redbox.com. You swipe your credit card and they charge you $1 per day for your rental. Another cool thing is you can rent at one location and return at another, so, if you are travelling, you can rent a movie at the start of your trip and return it at your destination.
  • Free or Cheap - www.mycokerewards.com. If you are drinkers of coke products, use the codes on the caps of your bottles or on the carton of your 12 packs to build up your account at www.mycokerewards.com. You can cash in your points for all kinds of things, including free movie rentals, or buy one get one free movie rentals at Blockbuster.
